About Atlas Free

Atlas Free asks you to imagine a world free of human trafficking and sex trafficking. That’s the world they’ve been working to create since 2012.

With a network of 100+ members spread across 26 countries, Atlas Free provides the resources and funding to make that dream a reality. The scope of their work is wide-ranging, from impacting public policy to ensuring there are safe homes and rehabilitation programs in place.

The goal? Attack human trafficking from every possible angle.

How Atlas Free Utilizes Muster

Atlas Free adopted Muster in 2024 and quickly went to work, seeing incredible engagement around their first campaign. Their efforts are aimed at reauthorizing the international provisions in the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA), a crucial piece of legislation that helps organizations fight human trafficking at home and abroad. The international provisions have not been reauthorized since 2021. Without these crucial provisions, programs and protections for victims internationally have lapsed.

On the horizon, Atlas Free plans to launch a series of additional campaigns to influence legislation around human trafficking.

The Impact of Atlas Free’s Work

On average, eight people a day are being set free from human trafficking.

Digital Content Coordinator Makenna Hatloe shared this with me in our conversation. Their unique hands-on approach to fighting human trafficking is working. However, putting an end to human trafficking cannot be done alone.
