The James River Association (JRA) came to Muster with the goal of growing their supporter base and engaging their network in state legislative advocacy. Not only did the JRA, a statewide nonprofit organization, successfully cultivate a strong advocacy network, but the nonprofit effectively influenced key pieces of legislation in the Virginia General Assembly critical to its mission.
With Muster, the JRA increased its advocacy network from 100 supporters to over 1700 through customized Action Centers and social media. Muster’s digital advocacy tools enabled the JRA to empower its growing base of supporters to easily communicate with lawmakers. By growing and engaging its supporter base, the JRA transformed from a non-profit with no supporter-driven advocacy into an active advocacy organization with a powerful voice in the state legislature.
